Assalamualaykum,
In conjunction with "Together for Good - Charity Support"
Our Appeal is to help complete a masjid in a remote village in West Bengal,
as esaale sawaab for all our marhoomeen.
Approximately 300 families live in the area, and the nearest masjid is 25 miles away.
The locals have already started building their masjid but have run out of funds.
Together, we can help them finish what they began and bring prayer, learning
and community closer to home.
It will accommodate around 150 worshippers, with a children’s maktab
and facilities for daily salaah, Jumu‘ah, Eid, Taraweeh and daily taleem.
The build includes _wudhu and toilet facilities, a submersible pump and water tank,
drinking-water cooler, carpets, lights, fans, doors and windows, a dome and minaret,
mimbar, sound systems (internal & external), Qur’ans and Islamic books, and janazah equipment.
The villagers have donated the land as waqf and will cover the ongoing running costs.
Total Cost £7,550
Alhamdulillah, a family have already donated £550 for the submersible pump.
Together, we have £7,000 left to raise.
Payable:
Nafl Sadaqah and Lillah
Through our own contributions and by encouraging our contacts to donate,
we can help complete this project together - a place where families can worship
and children can learn for years to come, inshaAllah.
May Allah put barakah in our efforts and accept this as a source of lasting reward for us
and all our marhoomeen. (Aameen)
Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has said:
“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in paradise”
(Sahih Al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
The estimated build time is 3-4 months. We’ll share regular photographs, videos and updates
on funds raised and the amount outstanding on the website and Social Channels.
